Original era manufacture. This bayonet started life as a British Contract bayonet and bears the date 1913 with 9 17 flanking the Remington logo on the ricasso. Faint US proof on the opposite side. The blade shows its proper one inch section of blue at its base with a mix of finish and steel patina along its length. The very tip has been lightly sharpened at one point. Dark blue patina finish to the pommel and guard with dark walnut grips. Second pattern scabbard with a dark metal finish to the throat and tip, green painted leather body in good repair. Normal age and wear overall.
