Original era manufacture. 1917 dated canvas cover with a faint US stencil on front. Early undated aluminum canteen body with the swivel ring at the base of the neck. The top of the cap is unit marked to E company, 158 Inf. 1918 dated aluminum cup with a replaced folding handle, likely done during WWII.
