German Pre WWI Prussian Artillery Officers Pickelhaube & Parade Plume (8 photos)
$950.00
|
Original era manufacture. Brass trimmed officers helmet with no extra holes behind the wappen, curved brass chinscales which indicated Artillery, rather than an Infantry helmet, and of course the removable trichter and plume. The silk lining is missing (excellent replica linings can be had at http://turnerlaughlin.com/), the Prussian Kocarde is missing, three of the four base rivets are missing (see turner & laughlin)and there are a few spots of leather surface missing. The good news is that the body is pliable and the helmet is an excellent candidate for a light restoration.

German WWI Prussian M1915 Infantry Pickelhaube (7 photos)
$395.00
|
Original era manufacture. Old and fusty looking thing, but yet untampered with and badically sound. No extra holes behind the wappen, the visors are securely sewn and all it really needs is a set of kokarden and a chinstrap. The visor leather has bubbled from attic storage and the overall look is dusty, we have not made an attempt to clean it, that will be your fun. The rear visor has curled under on one side but remains pliable so may be able to be shaped. The only real flaws are that the tiny crown on the orb is missing and the removable spike may have come from another helmet.
