US Cold War Era Pershing Missle Troops Ring, Sterling

Original era manufacture. A nice quality man's ring which is sterling marked on the inside. Enameled unit emblem on one side and the Ordnance Bomb on the other. According to Wikipedia, three Pershing equipped missle battalions were deployed to Germany in the early 1960's.

Original era manufacture. We recently purchased a small grouping of WWII German souvenirs sent home from Europe by a soldier who served as a US 3rd Army Jeep driver. The lucky recipient was his younger brother who cherished them and stored them away for many years before selling them to us.

In this instance the tale is slightly different, in that the soldier brought this home to his Mother instead of his little brother. A 9 inch porcelain wall plate decorated in full color. Masstricht was the first city in Holland liberated during WWII. No damage.

Original era manufacture. A nice quality set with a nickeled brass case featuring a US Eagle and military emblems on the lid. Inside the case are a removable steel mirror, the razor handle and head and small storage case for the blades. The lid's lining pad needs regluing and the lid catch does not snap closed. Otherwise normal wear and use.

Japanese WWII Minelayer Tsugaru Launching Plate, Sunk by USS Darter June 1944

Original era manufacture. Opaque green glass plate with a three dimensional depiction of a Japanese ship. The IJN Minelayer Tsugaru was launched in the Japanese year 2600 and was sunk by the US submarine USS Darter on the 29th of June 1944. The plate measures 165mm across and has a simple brown hanging cord. Accompanying the plate is a map of the Pacific combat areas given by the Yasukuni Shrine to the family members of those sailors lost at sea. The location of where the Tsugaru went down is marked on the map as 29/6/19. No damage to the glass plate, the map has been folded but not damaged. Lots of research potential regarding the Tsugaru and her career during WWII.
US WWII Cigarette Lighter, Naples 1943

Ronson brand pocket lighter which displays on one side the initials LMH and on the other a hand engraved rendition of Mount Vesuvius in Naples Italy with the date of 10-6-43 below. Shows normal pocket wear, and the small screw & spring that held the flints in place is missing.

Original era manufacture. Brass tin with an embossed lid bearing the likeness of HRH Princess Mary. The box contains a packet of tobacco and one of cigarettes, with the tobacco packet showing damage on one side. While the tins remain available on the collectors market finding them with contents is rather difficult today.

Original era production. Nice little card identifying its owner as Geo(rge)L.Hersum, Eli Wentworth Post No.89. George Hersum enlisted in the 5th New Hampshire Infantry in 1861 as a Private and was promoted to the rank of Full Colonel in 1864. The 5th New Hampshire helped hold the Union left flank near Little Round Top on the second day's action during the Battle of Gettysburg. Quite likely George L. Hersum was there.

This is a very nice late 19th century calling card for a woman doctor who belonged to the Lyon Relief Corps No. 6 of the GAR which was located in Oakland, CA. The card measures just under 4 inches in length and 1 3/4 high.

Nice late 19th early 20th Century celluloid mirror which measures 3 1/2" accross.

On the back is shown the image of the Pennsylvania State monument at Gettysburg. On the monument base are large bronze plaques which completely encompass the monuments perimeter. On the plaques are listed the names of the Pennsylvanians who fought at the battle in July of 1863.

Beautiful old souvenier mirror which may have been a give away at the monuments dedication. One in stock.
