Original era manufacture. A period medal, struck in what looks to be sterling silver, to honor the gathering of Connecticut Civil War Battle Flags, which were placed in the new State Captitol building in 1879. The coin, or medal measures 30mm and resides in its original case of issue.

Original era manufacture. Massive 5x45mm bronze medallion suspended by two linked chains from a bronze eagle and scroll bearing the inscription "Invitation Committee". Between the linked chains is a ships anchor bearing the letter D for Dewey. On the obverse is the prow of the USS Olympia and on the reverse the names of the US Navy ships which took part in the battle of Manila Bay. The medal celebrates the visit by Admiral George Dewey to Chicago in 1900. No doubt this medal was worn with pride by a Chicago Big-Wig as he shook the Admiral's hand 110 years ago. Comes with a partial original case.

Original era manufacture. Magnetic center EK2 with a dark patina to the frame edges. Maker marked on the suspension ring, 25, using the excellent collectors reference "The Iron Time" by Privetera, we see that the maker number 25 was assigned to Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Graveur, Gold und Silberschmiede-Innungen, Hanau a.M. Decent length of original ribbon.

Original era manufacture. Interesting medal, regulation Westwall medal with its correct ribbon. Mounted to the ribbon is a silver Luftwaffe eagle indicating Air Force service, no doubt installed by the GI who brought the thing home from WWII, and an indication of someone not knowing, or caring how it went together. They were just another group of old Nazi pins that Dad brought home.

An attractive enameled brass shield bearing the Prussian colors of black/white along with the Imperial eagle. Black/white striped silk ribbon bearing the words Prussische Landes Kriegerverband. Ribbon shows light amount of fraying from age.
