 Original era manufacture. This elaborate contraption was once intended to be mounted on the fender of a German staff car with the appropriate fender flag to be slipped over the metal frame and then snapped into position. The cloth flag has long since disappeared but the frame and eagle top are in near new condition. It measures 19 inches in height and 13 inches in width. The eagle and swastika are removable.

 Original era manufacture. This is an interesting little lot consisting of a GI signed Japanese silk flag and four Japanese flag style unit or identity patches. The flag measures 10x12 inches and displays the names and addresses of about a dozen or so American GI's. The ink has become blurred over time, but details can still be made out. The small Japanese insignia are of the type often seen sewn to uniforms. They served as a unit identifier, similar to an American SSI. One has a Field Censor stamp on its reverse. Great little lot.

 Original era manufacture. This is a GI souvenired NSDAP flag as it appears to have been cut or torn from its hoist. Its construction is of printed wool with reinforced stitching on the sides and end similar to a Navy flag. There are some scattered holes and tears and there is some running of the red color into the white disc giving portions of that a pinkish hue. Still sound for display.

A partial translation relates the following; A heartfelt send-off to Ono Yukio to the seat of War, Total Victory, Never Defeated, Be full of spirit-be full of fight, Best wishes for the fortunes of war.

 Original era manufacture. Single sided flag which measures 37x74 inches. There is a steel grommet in three of the four corners, with the missing one likely pulled away during use. Scattered wear and staining but nothing dreadful. Black printed swastika on a white cotton disc.

 Original era manufacture. Large size flag, roughly 6x10 feet with strong metal snaphooks on the white canvas hoist. The colors remain bright in spite of the fact that this flag was flown as evidenced by the repair on the top side of the flag near the end. The repair was done with the intention of prolonging the service life of this flag, not a collector repair in my opinion. There is a hole in the body of the flag perhaps caused by battle damage, who can say now. State Service Flags have never been common, a very presentable example.

 Original era manufacture. This is an interesting 44x66 inch all cotton flag of machinesewn construction. Handwritten numbers on the white cotton hoist, RKO DR 111 07 4x6, brass grommet in each corner of the hoist. There is a repair on one edge otherwise the flag shows normal age and wear. The white disc and stitching do not glow under a UV light. Unusual flag..

 Original era manufacture. Red wool guidon with individually sewn letters and numbers in yellow cotton. Philadelphia QM Depot tag sewn inside the pole sleeve with two leather attaching tabs. While doing a bit of background research on the unit, the 612th FA Battalion served in Burma during WWII in support of the 465th Infantry Regiment, part of the MARS Task Force. No moth issues, normal age and wear.
