US WWII M1936 Phillips Model, Officers Pommel & Saddle Bags (6 photos)

Original era manufacture. A sound set of bags developed with the Phillips pattern saddle for use by Army Officers in 1934. The Pommel bags are marked right/left (R&L) and are dated 1941. The single saddle bag is maker marked Milwaukee Saddlery 1941 and still has its OD canvas liner inside. The set is very sound and made from excellent quality leather. No damage, tears, rot or stains. Ready for light use.

Original era manufacture. Light OD canvas belt in nearly new condition. Clear US stencil on the right front pocket, fairly legible makers marks on the reverse. Blackened metal alloy fittings showing no wear. One of the nicest examples we have had in a long while.

Original era manufacture. Nice complete set with an a US marked aluminum canteen & cap, LF&C marked aluminum canteen and a L.C.C.& CO. 1918 marked canvas cover. A very clean set with traces of the original owners name on the cup. Shows normal wear and use but no damage, no cork inside the canteen screw-cap.

Original era manufacture. A very nice condition example of a scarce Carbine accessory. Russet leather construction with darkened brass metal fittings. There is some light surface dryness, however the leather has never been oiled, natural lustre only. Sound stitching and not crushed or damaged, just shows some normal scuffing from use on the reverse side of the boot. Scarce.

Original era manufacture. Standard pattern light OD canvas bag with a US stencil on the flap and British markings and year date on the inside. No holes, rips or major stains. Only flaw are the small spring steel bars are missing from the inside of the strap attaching hooks. The hooks still fasten but cannot lock onto the D rings. Scarce to find a British made bag.
