Original era manufacture. A nice lot of 9 GAR Encampment Ribbons named  for the 126th New York Volunteers.

Several of the ribbons display celluloid images of officers, while another has a Spanish-American War soldier displayed. The oldest ribbon is dated 1887, and the newest 1908. They all have their mounting pins, and the silk ribbon is in sound condition.

The 126th New York saw considerable service during the Civil War, forced to surrender to Stonewall Jackson's troops near Harpers Ferry in 1862, and exchanged until paroled in November. At Gettysburg it captured a number of Confederate stands of colors on July 3. Wilderness, Spotsylvania Court House in 1864, and in 1865, Appomattox Court House and the surrender of Lee's army.

It suffered the loss of 276 officers and men due to battle deaths and disease.
