Item #44328 : Original era manufacture. A nice lot of items once belonging to Lt. Colonel G.W. Vawter, of the Sixth Ferrying Group, based at Long Beach California during WWII.The lot consists of the following; Sixth Ferrying Group unit history, Army & Navy Publishing Company, many photos of pilots, including Women civilian pilots, aircraft and facilities. Green backed, cotton embroidered Ferrying Command jacket patch, pair of sterling marked, pinback pilot wings, his dogtags, pair of sterling marked Ferrying Command DI's, Victory Medal, American Defense Medal, assorted uniform insignia and two photos of LTC Vawter in uniform, and two books of Ferrying Command marked match books. Normal age and wear, some fraying to the binding of the unit history, the matchbooks are for the most part complete, some missing.
