German WWII M1940 Army Issue Enlisted Tunic

Original era manufacture. Four pleated pocket tunic, with a feldgrau wool collar, and five button front. Original gray cotton partial lining with issue markings and bandage pouch at the lower right front. The bandage pouch securing button is missing.There is a set of internal suspenders dated 1939, which help support the four gray painted belt support hooks. Mouse gray litzen on green badge cloth backing are re-sewn to the collar. Thick, wool-felt Infantry piped shoulder straps, slip-on pattern, my feeling is that they are post war manufactured. Handstitched early pattern breast eagle, perhaps period done. Collector applied Iron Cross ribbon in the second button-hole.All buttons are present, a few may not match exactly, but are close enough. Strong color to the wool fabric, minimal mothing, with a repaired section in the back portion of the lower right cuff. Collar hooks are intact. Overall the tunic exhibits honest period use and wear, size about a 40 regular.
