German WWI S98 Dress Bayonet, NCO School Prize 1915

 Original era manufacture. Standard pattern S98 dress bayonet by WKC. Chromed metal fittings with a black leather bodied scabbard. Light bubbling to the reverse of the upper scabbard fitting and pommel. The blade is very clean but does have several areas of old corrosion near the tip. Engraved on the ricasso is 27.1.1915 U.v.S.1.Komp. which may represent a graduation prize of some sort. Overall the bayonet is very sound but the upper scabbard fitting staple is missing.
