Unknown WWII Fighting Knife, Possibly Soviet

$125.00

Original era manufacture. We purchased this unusual knife many years ago and thought at the time that it was of Soviet WWII origin. Simple 6.5 inch double edge blade, hollow sheet steel curved grip with a black painted finish. Plain leather scabbard with matching belt loop and pommel strap with a closure buckle. There are no markings to seen. This was part of a grouping of WWII era Russian uniforms and equipment.
US WWII USMC Utility Knife, Replica

$45.00

A fairly current manufacture knife by Kabar, I believe these were done in the 1980's. It is made just like the WWII ones, same quality. The leather scabbard is a bit dolled-up with the EGA and USMC. Light wear and use.

Nepalese Victorian Era Gurkha Kukri, Massive Blade
(3 photos)

$99.95

Original era manufacture. Recently SMA & IMA did a bit of a merchandise swap at the last SOS. We received several of these wonderful old Nepalese Kukri's which were part of the 2003 purchase by IMA of the Royal Nepalese Arsenal at the Palace of Lagan Silekhana in Katmandu Nepal.

Each of our knives features a 15 inch heavy steel blade with a carved wooden handle. Each features original markings on the blade spine and are in quite sound condition. We will list and photograph these old knives by the one so you know exactly which example you will recieve.

The story of Christian and Alexander Cranmer's purchase of the hidden Royal Arsenal of Nepal is a modern day treasure hunt. A really remarkable story.

German WWI Fighting Knife, Gottlieb-Hammesfahr

$185.00

Original era manufacture. Typical serrated wood, slab griped trench knife of WWI construction. Crown proof on one side of the ricasso, makers name on the other. The blade is quite clean with some scattered staining from age and cleaned corrosion. Decent black painted steel scabbard with an intact brown leather belt loop and pommel strap. Someone, perhaps the Doughboy who brought it home, scratched their initials HDS into the surface of the paint.
German WWII Small DJ or HJ Souvenir Dress Knife
(3 photos)

$150.00

Original era manufacture. For years these have been sold /offered as DJ knives, kid brother to the larger and more familier HJ knife. I believe that the conventional wisdom of today suggests that these were made as souvenirs to be sold at political and patriotic rallies of the era. 4.5 inch polished steel blade with a burnished aluminum guard and pommel. Simple black plastic checkered grips. Black painted steel scabbard missing its leather belt strap.
French WWI 1916 Fighting Knife & Scabbard

Maker marked on the ricasso, S.C.C.O. This weapon served as the basis of the US M1918 trench knife in WWI. Normal age and wear.
Swedish WWII Machete or Bolo Knife, 1943
(3 photos)

$275.00

Original era manufacture. OK, we haven't a clue as to the actual name or use of this excellent quality edged weapon, but want to say that in the dim (very dim) recesses of my brain housing group, a Navy connotation comes to mind. 16.5 inch polished steel leaf shaped blade, single edged. Black painted wooden handle with two brass rivets and a hole for a wrist strap. Black leather scabbard body with brass fittings with a brass metal plaque stating Stockholms - Tidningens Rikssykttetavling 1943. The S-shaped brass guard has a crack in its surface where the top of the blade meets the grip. Normal age and wear otherwise.
British WWII Machete & Scabbard 1945
(6 photos)

$95.00

Original era manufacture. We believe this edged weapon to be British or Commonwealth design but don't know much more about it. It features a rather crude 14 inch blade with a clipped point and single edge. Clear date of 1945. A brown leather, side-opening scabbard with strap closure comes with the blade. It also is dated 1945. Normal age and wear overall.

US M1873 US Army Entrenching Tool
(3 photos)

$225.00

Original era manufacture. Wide bright steel blade with a reinforced edge. Turned wood grip with a mark on its pommel. The steel blade shows evidence of an old cleaning with light corrosion pitting but remaining very presentable. The turned wood grip shows some old shallow chipping but nothing recent, as the patina matches quite well.
US WWII Pattern TL-29 Electrician's Knife, Imperial

US WWII M3 Fighting Knife & M8 Scabbard, PAL Mfg.
(3 photos)

$275.00

Original era manufacture. A clean, guard marked example and featuring a rather unusual, 6 space grip pattern. The blade has retained its basic configuration and point, shows evidence of an old sharpening and a re-blue surface. The grip is quite sound with no cracks or missing pieces from its sections and features only 6 spacers between the segments instead of the more usual 7 or 8. Sound M8 scabbard with its M1910 belt hook intact.
