Original era manufacture. This is quite an interesting lot which tells the story of one WWI German soldier and his immigration to the US during WWII. The lot includes his WWI Militarpass which lists him as a POW of the French, his Nazi era Arbeitsbuch, his DAF dues book with stamps through 1940, numerous documents from his German employers (machinist), letters from the US State Department and interestingly a set of US Army Orders awarding him with a Good Conduct Medal. This would be a fun research project. 19 pieces total.

Original era manufacture. 1868 dated Militair-Pass to a soldier in Reserve Landwehr Battalion Nr.40, Coeln. There are numerous handwritten entries to be seen, however the old handwriting is a bit difficult to read. Also included is the document for the 1870-1871 Campaign Medal in steel and the document for the 1797-1897 Centennary Medal. All show handling and age with the 1870-1871 document being a bit tattered on its upper edge. Good research fodder.

Original era manufacture. We had purchased this little booklet in a pile of assorted militaria recently. While looking through it this original 86th division shoulder patch fell out, cool. It shows mothing but appears to have been removed from a uniform. The information inside the cover shows a soldier who served in the 3rd Pioneer Infantry Regiment during WWI. Looks like one page is missing from the booklet.

Original era manufacture. An interesting lot consisting of six documents pertaining to one, Philipp Kunkel, a 47 year old man who entered the Army in April of 1945. He served with a Signals unit, received his basic clothing and equipment issue and not much else. The lot includes a letter to his wife, his Soldbuch and other documents pertaining to his time as a POW. Very clean.

Original era manufacture. Interesting set to a man who worked in the Wine industry before the war. During WWII he was a driver to several units including a Medical company. No photo in the cover. The Soldbuch shows use but the work book is very clean. Many entries in each.

Interesting grouping consisting of a standard Wehrmacht Wehrpass, prewar drivers license to the same man, postwar identity cards for him and his wife (both with photos) and the most interesting item, a Frankfurt a/Main Bunker Ausweis. Not too much exciting in the Wehrpass itself but we've never encountered another Bunker-Ausweis before. Nice little lot.
