German WWII Luftwaffe 1st Model Dagger & Hanger, SMF Mfg (6 photos)
$795.00
|
Original era manufacture. A clean example featuring nickel silvered fittings and a bright blade. The blade is in original polish, clean with a clear SMF logo, it shows some light scattered surface spotting and graying but no pitting. The blue leather covered grip shows some light scattered surface scuffing exposing some areas of the wood but the tight wire binding is intact. The metal fittings show a pleasing dark silver patina with all fitting screws present. The scabbard leather is sound with just some light surface scuffing to keep it honest. Unmolested 1st pattern dagger showing normal age and wear.

German WWII 1933 SA EM Dagger, Robert Herder Mfg (6 photos)
$495.00
|
Original era manufacture. Early production example with nickel fittings and a very nice makers logo on the ricasso. The blade is quite clean, with nice contrast to the blade motto. Dark wood grips with both emblems present, typical minor dings to the surface, very small crack on the reverse side below the upper fitting. The scabbard body shows a considerable amount of pitting from cleaned corrosion, little of the original finish remains visible. Clean metal fittings with a properly dented ball tip. The dagger is very clean with a great makers logo, too bad about the scabbard body.

Japanese 1909 Pattern Railway Officials Dagger (5 photos)
$1850.00
|
Original era manufacture. This unusual dagger is at first glance a standard IJN officers dagger, with some of the differences being pommel cap, grip emblems and ferrule. The 10 inch polished steel blade has not been sharpened but does show scattered spotting and graying from age. The tip is slightly tweaked but remains quite sharp. Dark fish skin wrapped grip with a Pawlonia leaf decoration on each side. Triple wire binding with a short length from one wire strand missing from the bottom segment. Nice fishskin wrapped scabbard in good repair. Gilded brass fittings displaying a nice patina. Scarce dagger, a similar example recently sold on a major online auction for over $2000.

German WWII Army Dagger with Hangers & Knot, P.D.L. Mfg (5 photos)
$650.00
|
Original era manufacture. Later war example with gray metal fittings and a pale yellow plastic grip. The full length blade shows original polish and the PDL logo on the reverse of the blade. Very clean overall with a few spots of graying. The plastic grip is undamaged, showing only a few spots of staining and wear. Wrapped around the guard and grip is a very clean original silver wire knot. Cliped to the suspension rings is an original hanger of silver wire tape with green velvet backing. The hanger is basically sound showing normal age and wear, with a 1.5 inch length of stitching opened up on the top side of the upper hanger strap.
