Original era manufacture. Straight, single edged, 32 inch blade in good polish. Gilded brass lionhead hilt with the double-headed Imperial eagle on the langet. FJ1 initials on the obverse ferrule and viribus unitis on the reverse. Mother of Pearl grip plate on the obverse and what may be ivory on the reverse. The obverse grip plate is a bit loose at the top and shows a chip in its surface. The black leather scabbard is unbroken but rather floppy with some scattered chips and minor abrassions to its surface. There is a 1.5 inch thin portion of leather missing on the reverse near the stitching.
